Summer 2009 begins!

*more pictures posted later*

For this year we're tackling gardening straight from the source - from SEED. Despite Canyon's protestations, I will continue to siphon valuable horticultural insights from his foray into HORT 101 last semester, bless his poor science frazzled brain.

Last year we broke the bank with our sky high budget of $600. This year we'll apply mere improvisations and a bit of professional ingenuity, what with our one year of gardening mastery under our tool-belts. I spent quite a few wintry days over the past morosely gray and cold not-so-Minnesota nice winter and found the *best* online seed catalog: www.botanicalinterests.com.

For summer 2009 we'll be tackling the back row that was previously occupied by glowering sunflowers, and will be planting the ultimate "herbaceous border".
